Camping, Birthday, and Whatnot

so i got home from camping yesterday and i had a lot of fun with my mom, boyfriend, cousins, aunt, and aunt's boyfriend.

it was a good week but the weekend got a little hectic. i was happy to be home though especially because i had my birthday party the night before we left for camping.

i had a lot to catch up on when i got home and it took most of yesterday.

oh and i forgot that i have some new i can tell you now!

on the fourth of july my family was told some news that we had to keep secret for a while but we can now share. my aunt (Katie) is pregnant! she did her own ultrasound too (that's how cool she is). in the words of her son Matthew "she has a baby in her belly from the baby doctor".

i dont feel like putting too much info in this post, sorry.

i just thought i would update you a little bit.

The Family Gathering

so on thursday i helped my aunt move some stuff out of her old house and into her new house in portland. i ended spending that night and the next night with my cousin in the ranch house that is also on my aunt's property but in now my cousin's house. its a really nice house and i was happy to see Jessica, Dickson, and their kittens, Remy, Scout, and Chowder again.

Saturday we had a huge family get together. i didn't know a few people there and others i hadn't seen since i was little so it was a little awkward for me. there were about 22 people there so it was very loud and crowded.

anyway it was kinda hectic there and we were there for 7 hours (we didn't leave until around 12:30)

the next day (yesterday) me, my mom, kevin and kelly, my aunt missy, my grandparents, and roger and julie all went over to my aunt's house again and stayed there for about 5 hours while roger and my grandfather worked on the filter for my aunt's pool. i hung out with Jess and the kittens most of the day. the kids were getting really annoying =/.

anyway just wanted to fill you in on all that has been happening. hoping to post to 10mow by 2morrow.

Happy 4th of July Yesterday!

So i figured i'd just make one post for this past weekend.

i just finished watching every episode of Futurama (which only took me about 4 days).

well, on saturday i got the two books that we need to read this summer vacation: Fahrenheit 451 and A Separate Peace. they are surprisingly smaller than i thought they would.

on the fourth of july i spent most of the day playing with my little cousin Matthew. then we watched a firework show that wasnt from the same people as usual, but we still very good.

not much special happened. one of my aunts was sick so she wasnt there and neither was my cousin Jessica.

I also learned some interesting news that im not sharing yet.

anyway I know that nobody reads most of my posts and that its mostly pointless to post but oh well. i will anyway.

Well. Matt has been sick for a few days and went to the hospital some time after we left last night. he's going to be fine and he doesnt have anything deadly.

Everything will be ok, but i thought i'd share it just to kinda make myself feel better and feel like i was actually talking about it.

anyway i dont even know who will read this if anyone. if you do read it, however please disregard most of this post.

since we are now in the middle of summer i decided to make the blog look a little warmer.

i love and hate July. i love it because it is my birth month and it is the first whole month of summer.

i hate it because it is the middle of summer so it is all hot every day almost and because it is getting pretty close to the time that we need to go back to school.

so this weekend is the fourth of July. every fourth of July my family and i go to my aunt Katie's house for a picnic because one of her neighbors has a really good firework show.

so, what do all of you do for the fourth of July? leave ur story in the comments.

also on the 9th i have family from Ohio coming to visit. they are staying with my grandparents for a week.

on the 10th we are having a get together of my family that i see all the time, my family from Ohio, family that i have only ever met once or twice, and family that i have never met.

I'll post that day or the next day to let you know how it goes.

i might post every day of the week that my Ohio family is here.

So i will be blogging a lot this month most likely.

I also need to get work done too.

Saturday I am going to the book store to buy the 2 books that we need to read this summer.

I am in the middle of reading my (most likely) free choice book: The Necromancer.

The Busy Weekend

i know its shocking isnt it?

ill try to include just about everything i remember.

Saturday:

first i went to triple a with my mom so she could get her license renewed. it went by a lot quicker than we thought it would.

when my mom said she'd like to be put down as an organ donor i made a monty python reference by saying: "but then they might break into our house and try to steal your liver"

then we played with some loud speaking map puzzle thing of the U.S. my mom got her license back after we put like 2 states in though so we had to try to hurry up.

around noon eric came over so we could watch a few episodes of pokemon (i think we watched about 10)

he met sheldon (my tortoise) and met my cat, ashes (or patches in his mind), for the second time

we took a bunch of dailybooth photos too that you can see on dailybooth.com/gomezzio we kinda abused it.

we also exchanged laptops for a while

oh and i bought him yogos and he talked me into taking 1 or "1" out of each bag even though i really dont like them.

i finally gave him my old dead watch

then we went to angela's house for a bonfire

eric and i went in at exactly 7:02 (well at least according to the clock in the car, which was fast)

we looked for bee-bees and collected a lot of them until other people started to show up

angela's brother wouldnt shoot a yogo out of his bee-bee gun :(

so now here are the main things that we did there: munchkin skipping (both separate and in groups and sometimes racing or down the street)

visited a tree that is in the middle of the street near angela's house (we even videotaped it)

played a strange version of duck duck goose that (even though it didnt always apply) i think we called Duck Duck Goat

played the wonder ball

talked about a weird robot lady (long story)

otherwise we were mostly just random

i didnt get home until around 11:30 and chris stayed with us for about 10 minutes until his parents came to get him

it was a pretty fun day though

Today:

i had to go to my grandparents' house because my mom and aunt were cleaning out one of the rooms. i had to entertain my little cousins (kevin and kelly)

i was in a bad mood all day and am only slightly better now

they have such short attention spans and the only time they actually stuck with somethign to play for more than 10 minutes was when they wanted to play with guns, which i hate more than just about anything that they make me play.

i didnt get to eat all day until around 4:00 either =/

so that didnt help my mood

the highlight of my day was actually when i got to shuck corn outside alone for a while.

then, when i was on the 2nd to last piece of corn, the kids came out and tried to help which was both frustrating and time consuming.

i didnt get home until around 6:00 either. so i was there about 6 hours.

i had a tough day =/ i guess it just had to balance me out because i actually had a great day on saturday.

anyway that's about it

i still dont know how i should end these so maybe i will just leave.

The Greatest Kid Movies Ever

i just saw toy story 3 today and i have to say that it was a great trilogy

i loved growing up with these movies and im so glad that i got a chance to see this one. it really was amazing (as always).

it was funny, emotional, and a lot of fun

i hope that everyone who knows and loves these movies will get a chance to see the third and i hope that you all enjoy it as much as i have.

A Cool New Design for a Cool Summer!

im so excited that 2morrow is my first full day of summer vacation!

i thought that i would mark this special occasion with a redesign.

i wanted to let you all know on here as well that i will continue the notebook posts over the summer and i will try to post on here very often.

but no matter how short the posts are i will keep u updated on all the great things that happen.

so far my only close plans are to watch pokemon with eric on saturday. we may also play some mille bornes.

Redesign!

yeah i know.. its dark.. but i think its kinda cool.

i decided to get rid of the blue for a while and move on to red!

i know im kinda bad with color matching stuff but i think it turned out ok in the end.

i hope that you all like this change or can at least deal with it until i change it again.

Not Posting

srry that i kinda failed at keeping up with my blogging last week but i actually found stuff to do for the end of the week. so for the next few weekends i'll probly finish my 10mow promise along with having a post for the summary good school moments at the end of each week.

or at least this is what im planning.

as for the other vacation stuff... guess you'll never know. *evil laugh*

Pokemon Pokethon (Yeah Idk Either..)

sorry i havent been updating this as much as planned and i havent been doing more of the notebook stuff but i actually found some stuff to do. i know you're all surprised.

yesterday i spent the day with eric and we watched 10 episodes of pokemon from the beginning. we made some good memories. and i watched the new wheezywaiter video at his house and then got him to start watching his videos too! (im proud)

and today i did my science lab (that i probly did wrong), read a decent amount of Romeo and Juliet, watched a lot of old wheezywaiter videos, and then had issues with my laptop for a while.

anyway some pokemon memories (some of which only eric and i will get:

calling pokemon by their type after reading all of the types in the book that eric had

before we met brock in the show every time we saw him in the intro we'd say 'who's that?'
Pokemon Tech. I think that's short for Pokemon Technical School!

based on the types of pokemon and which ones evolved into which other ones i learned what kinda of our-world creatures and thing can grow up to be! for example: tiny weeds can grow into BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS.
after every 'who's that pokemon' saying 'pikachu!'

Finally Getting Food!

yes i feel the need to make a post about this.

so.. as i said before i didnt eat much today. so when i was hungry around 4 i decided to wait because my mom would be home at 5 and we would have dinner soon after that. then around 6 my mom called and said she didnt know when she was going to get home. so i had to wait for my dad to get home. he got home late too. he got home around 7 and then we started preparing dinner. so now it should be ready a little after 8 maybe.

*sigh* oh well.. it'll be worth it.

sorry that im probably bugging all of you but lets face it, people don't really read my blog most of the time.

Restless!

so.. i did algebra work today (i only had 5 problems left).

i sat in bed awake most of the day.

watched fairly interesting TV.

read about 3 pages of Heroes of the Valley (which i will hopefully read more of before the end of the night).

Food: i ate 2 cookies, a bite out of a cream cheese brownie thing (which made my mouth really dry so i stopped eating it), and about 2 hand fulls of tostitos. i am currently starving but waiting for dinner since that will be soon.

i played the sims 2 for about 30 minutes.

i kinda wanna play guitar hero but i would rather play something better but i dont own anything better for PS2.

i also kinda want to reorganize stuff in my room but i have nowhere to put anything really.

i still kinda wish that i had a webcam.

right now ill do pretty much anything that is possible and wont bore me or frustrate me more.

so if you have any suggestions i would like you to leave them in the comments. and feel free to make your suggestions have something to do with blogging (except for the 10mow project im doing, im not going to do that today most likely).

otherwise i think i might try to make a few other posts today.

Chili's is Chilly

sorry i didnt post yesterday but i spent most of the day with my mom.

before that though i watched The Rugrats on youtube cuz i was bored.

anyway we went out to eat at Chili's and i have always realized that it is chilly in there.

we had a really cool waiter named Bobby and he kinda reminded me of Mr. Amato in a way.
we had a good time talking and the food there was really good. i had chicken strips, honey mustard sauce, and french fries. i ate most of it all which i rarely do.

when we got home my mom and i played Life and since my cat was sitting with us we decided to let her play too. we had fun and got to act like idiots.

i love spending time with my mom but it doesnt happen too often anymore.

anyway just wanted to fill you in.

April Vacation is Here!

vacation is finally here but sadly i think i will be spending most of it doing school work.

i have to read all of romeo and juliet and answer questions on each act and write an essay for english. then in history i have to research and start working on a 4 page paper. i also need to finish a science lab paper and 5 more questions in algebra.

so this probably wont we the kind of vacation that i was hoping for, but it should still be pretty good.

i am hoping that i can at least get close to finishing heroes of the valley. maybe ill set aside at least 1 hour of the day for me to read for a while. any suggestions on what time?

anyway, i should be getting a lot done this week.

EXTRA: i am planning on making some posts to 10mow that are just about the 'fun' notes that i took in classes. i will do one subject a day probably. thoughts? (btw i will do this at the end of the year too but if i do it now i will just continue from where i left off at the end of the year)

so, i'll leave you all to think about this and hopefully comment.

Plays

ok what happened most often this month was experimenting with play.

last year i saw Wicked live on broadway.
earlier this year i saw Rent on DVD (thanks again for the present Eric)
this month Eric recommended a few plays to me that I watched. I will list them then give comments at the end.
1. Spring Awakening
2. Next to Normal
3. Legally Blonde the Musical (yes i have seen the movie too)
I also saw Julius Caesar performed in our school this week by some Shakespeareans.
And today I saw students from my school perform Into the Woods.


1. Wicked- a lot of fun and very good for someone who likes fantasy. it makes you rethink The Wizard of Oz a lot. Amazing and probably me favorite play (mostly cuz it was my first and only live one)
2. Rent- Amazing. very interesting and thoughtful. complicated tho.
3. Spring Awakening- Amazing (yes i think that a lot). kinda awkward, but it is a great play.
4. Next to Normal- Really good, but not my favorite. the music is great and it is a really good story. it is a little hard to follow for a while but it pulls together easily.
5. Legally Blonde- Good, I liked it a lot better than the movie. Fun.
6. Julius Caesar- Good but this version was kinda strange. there was a lot of symbolism.
7. Into the Woods- Fun. the actors (in my school anyway) interacted with the audience a few times and went off stage a lot. It was funny and easy to follow. Pretty much all of you're favorite fairy tales combined.

Anyway, I've had a lot of fun this month while watching these and Eric has others on DVD for me.

By the way, there were a few of these plays that i really didn't think that i would like until i watched them and i ended up loving them.

The Percy Movie

ok all in all this was a good movie. but it just wasnt percy :(.

people were missing: nancy, ares, clarisse, cerberus, Mr. D, or oracle.

from the beginning:

zeus and poseidon talk in the very beginning, and act like they never see each other when they are all supposed to meet 2 times a year on olympus. also,the mist didnt work.

before camp: everything is explained after the fury attacks. grover attacks gabe, gabe attacks percy 2 times, grover brings percy home from the museum, mr. brunner gives percy the pen to keep in the museum and he doesnt kill the fury with it.

in general: the pen was gold, unnamed, and u clicked it instead on uncapping it. no beach scene.

Camp: percy kills the minotaur quickly. his mom doesnt know how to fight the minotaur or that she cant get into camp until she tries to get through the boarder. percy wakes up in what seems to be a hospital tent, there are tents not cabins, no big house, percy fights anabeth in capture the flag not clarisse (obviously), percy captures the flag, percy doesnt get a quest he just tries to leave camp after hades tries to talk to him through the fire, annabeth and grover try to stop him, luke has his own cabin with video games, he gives them shoes, a map, and a shield with the lightning bolt in it.

Quest: to save percy's mom buy first finding 3 pearls. minor quest: get lightning bolt returned.

General: they can all drive. percy can use the winged shoes, the shoes aren't rigged. annabeth doesnt have her cap.

quest one: medusa, random lady getting turned to stone in front of them. iphone. truck.

quest two: random parthenon, hydra appears inside. it breaths fire. annabeth shoots arrows and things that make people unconscious. hydra gets turned to stone.

quest three: lotus hotel. if u eat the flowers, u'll want to stay there???? stealing a car on display that had keys in it.

hades: charon burnt money, no story about dying :(, the entrance is a hole in the ground in hollywood, part of styx was in the air, persephone had a larger role, hades found the bolt and wanted to use it, they left grover behind instead of percy's mom.

olympus: luke fought percy and they flew all over the place. the elevator was different and there wasnt a person at a desk. i dont even think they got the elevator from the ground floor. poseidon asked permission to talk to percy and said that it was his fault that the gods weren't allowed to see their kids.

general: annabeth and luke never met their parents. luke stole from his father.

end: chiron acted like dumbledor, percy and annabeth trained together.

i basically included everything

theater: random guy commenting on a lot of things like grover eating a can and himself going to nashville and stuff. baby crying.

Yesterday's Ride Home and my Day Off

so yesterday eric and his sister brought me home from school after a study session for history.

well, in ther car eric kept passing his phone back to me to show me pictures. then we saw a place with a sign that said 'Mezzio' and eric tried to take a picture but it didnt turn out too well so he tried to convince his sister to pull in but of course she didnt. eric's sister wanted jesus to drive faster. when we got to my house my mom was just pulling out of the driveway and eric was wavign at her while his sister was trying to tell her to go. finally she drove past us and eric and i were waving at her. it was a fun car ride.

anyway, today was a snow day, or as ive been calling it, a blizzard day. school was canceled last night.

today i woke up at 10 and there was no internet or cable. so i read the 2 books of the odyssey that i had to read and i answered the questions. i played some guitar hero every now and then to take a break. i had cereal almost right away after i woke up (never happens) and i had cream cheese and crackers for lunch! one of my favorite meals. the internet (obviously) and cable are back on now. i read 1 chapter of the 4th 39 clues book and i might finish it later. i still need to do an essay (a weird one) and french work too. im going to play a little World of Warcraft in a while too.

all in all im having a good day. i kinda hope that school gets canceled tomorrow too.

history test and percy jackson movie on friday! then we have a whole week off!

Special Post!

Sorry that is has been a really long time since I last posted. Eric is making post now and also promising to help me with history homework in return. so...

THIS POST IS DEDICATED TO ERIC AKA GOMEZZIO!

ok so Eric wants me to make well on my promise and explain the name of my blog.

So 1. in 7th grade Eric started randomly calling me Dede which, though i didnt like it for a long time, i eventually began to use a lot on the internet.
2. when i asked Eric for advice on what to use for a username on youtube we began the DeDe can... series with DeDe can read. this has just kinda become a habit with DeDe can speak on skype (i believe.. my memory is a little off) and finally, what we all know and love, DeDe can blog!

this has been my ultimate challenge and i am sorry that i am not really able to keep up with this as much as i should but i would like to try harder. so..

with all of you who actually read my blog as my witnesses, I assign Eric the job of making sure that I get a post on this blog at least once a month for the rest of this year. If he does a good job I may extend this contract for the next year.

Xmas/2010

i shouldve posted more over vacation but ive been busy doing barely anything so i can enjoy a break while it lasts.

anyway some things i got for xmas:

thats about it that was really exciting.

anyway on to the next part:

i cant beleive its 2010 already!! (to eric mostly) i made soooooooooo many rent references last night!

things ive done over vacation:

xmas- at my grandparents house most of the day
next- went out with chris and his parents
next- went to my aunts hosue with my grandparents
next- actually stayed home and put some stuff in order
next- home. didnt do much
next- went out with my cousin and her boy friend to see avatar (awesome btw), hung out with them for a while, stayed at my cousin's house and only slept for about an hour.
next- somehow wasnt really tired. went to my aunt's house (different aunt) along with everyone else and played games and stuff. oh, and my mom got surgery on her foot that and and she was limping on stuff so i had to help her get around.
today- was supposed to go to my grandparents house for dinenr but my grandma is sick. went grocery shopping, gonna play games and stuff with my mom tonight.
tomorrow- might be going to hang out with eric for awhile. he's gonna make me watch glee. need to find out more later
next day- need to finish all of the homework (or most of) that was assigned over vacation. gonna try to do some of it before this
next- back to school

let's hope that this all works out well.
