vacation is finally here but sadly i think i will be spending most of it doing school work.
i have to read all of romeo and juliet and answer questions on each act and write an essay for english. then in history i have to research and start working on a 4 page paper. i also need to finish a science lab paper and 5 more questions in algebra.
so this probably wont we the kind of vacation that i was hoping for, but it should still be pretty good.
i am hoping that i can at least get close to finishing heroes of the valley. maybe ill set aside at least 1 hour of the day for me to read for a while. any suggestions on what time?
anyway, i should be getting a lot done this week.
EXTRA: i am planning on making some posts to 10mow that are just about the 'fun' notes that i took in classes. i will do one subject a day probably. thoughts? (btw i will do this at the end of the year too but if i do it now i will just continue from where i left off at the end of the year)
so, i'll leave you all to think about this and hopefully comment.

Plays
ok what happened most often this month was experimenting with play.
last year i saw Wicked live on broadway.
earlier this year i saw Rent on DVD (thanks again for the present Eric)
this month Eric recommended a few plays to me that I watched. I will list them then give comments at the end.
1. Spring Awakening
2. Next to Normal
3. Legally Blonde the Musical (yes i have seen the movie too)
I also saw Julius Caesar performed in our school this week by some Shakespeareans.
And today I saw students from my school perform Into the Woods.
1. Wicked- a lot of fun and very good for someone who likes fantasy. it makes you rethink The Wizard of Oz a lot. Amazing and probably me favorite play (mostly cuz it was my first and only live one)
2. Rent- Amazing. very interesting and thoughtful. complicated tho.
3. Spring Awakening- Amazing (yes i think that a lot). kinda awkward, but it is a great play.
4. Next to Normal- Really good, but not my favorite. the music is great and it is a really good story. it is a little hard to follow for a while but it pulls together easily.
5. Legally Blonde- Good, I liked it a lot better than the movie. Fun.
6. Julius Caesar- Good but this version was kinda strange. there was a lot of symbolism.
7. Into the Woods- Fun. the actors (in my school anyway) interacted with the audience a few times and went off stage a lot. It was funny and easy to follow. Pretty much all of you're favorite fairy tales combined.
Anyway, I've had a lot of fun this month while watching these and Eric has others on DVD for me.
By the way, there were a few of these plays that i really didn't think that i would like until i watched them and i ended up loving them.

The Percy Movie
ok all in all this was a good movie. but it just wasnt percy :(.
people were missing: nancy, ares, clarisse, cerberus, Mr. D, or oracle.
from the beginning:
zeus and poseidon talk in the very beginning, and act like they never see each other when they are all supposed to meet 2 times a year on olympus. also,the mist didnt work.
before camp: everything is explained after the fury attacks. grover attacks gabe, gabe attacks percy 2 times, grover brings percy home from the museum, mr. brunner gives percy the pen to keep in the museum and he doesnt kill the fury with it.
in general: the pen was gold, unnamed, and u clicked it instead on uncapping it. no beach scene.
Camp: percy kills the minotaur quickly. his mom doesnt know how to fight the minotaur or that she cant get into camp until she tries to get through the boarder. percy wakes up in what seems to be a hospital tent, there are tents not cabins, no big house, percy fights anabeth in capture the flag not clarisse (obviously), percy captures the flag, percy doesnt get a quest he just tries to leave camp after hades tries to talk to him through the fire, annabeth and grover try to stop him, luke has his own cabin with video games, he gives them shoes, a map, and a shield with the lightning bolt in it.
Quest: to save percy's mom buy first finding 3 pearls. minor quest: get lightning bolt returned.
General: they can all drive. percy can use the winged shoes, the shoes aren't rigged. annabeth doesnt have her cap.
quest one: medusa, random lady getting turned to stone in front of them.iphone . truck.
quest two: random parthenon, hydra appears inside. it breaths fire. annabeth shoots arrows and things that make people unconscious. hydra gets turned to stone.
quest three: lotus hotel. if u eat the flowers, u'll want to stay there???? stealing a car on display that had keys in it.
hades: charon burnt money, no story about dying :(, the entrance is a hole in the ground in hollywood, part of styx was in the air, persephone had a larger role, hades found the bolt and wanted to use it, they left grover behind instead of percy's mom.
olympus: luke fought percy and they flew all over the place. the elevator was different and there wasnt a person at a desk. i dont even think they got the elevator from the ground floor. poseidon asked permission to talk to percy and said that it was his fault that the gods weren't allowed to see their kids.
general: annabeth and luke never met their parents. luke stole from his father.
end: chiron acted like dumbledor, percy and annabeth trained together.
i basically included everything
theater: random guy commenting on a lot of things like grover eating a can and himself going to nashville and stuff. baby crying.

Yesterday's Ride Home and my Day Off
so yesterday eric and his sister brought me home from school after a study session for history.
well, in ther car eric kept passing his phone back to me to show me pictures. then we saw a place with a sign that said 'Mezzio' and eric tried to take a picture but it didnt turn out too well so he tried to convince his sister to pull in but of course she didnt. eric's sister wanted jesus to drive faster. when we got to my house my mom was just pulling out of the driveway and eric was wavign at her while his sister was trying to tell her to go. finally she drove past us and eric and i were waving at her. it was a fun car ride.
anyway, today was a snow day, or as ive been calling it, a blizzard day. school was canceled last night.
today i woke up at 10 and there was no internet or cable. so i read the 2 books of the odyssey that i had to read and i answered the questions. i played some guitar hero every now and then to take a break. i had cereal almost right away after i woke up (never happens) and i had cream cheese and crackers for lunch! one of my favorite meals. the internet (obviously) and cable are back on now. i read 1 chapter of the 4th 39 clues book and i might finish it later. i still need to do an essay (a weird one) and french work too. im going to play a little World of Warcraft in a while too.
all in all im having a good day. i kinda hope that school gets canceled tomorrow too.
history test and percy jackson movie on friday! then we have a whole week off!

Special Post!
Sorry that is has been a really long time since I last posted. Eric is making post now and also promising to help me with history homework in return. so...
THIS POST IS DEDICATED TO ERIC AKA GOMEZZIO!
ok so Eric wants me to make well on my promise and explain the name of my blog.
So 1. in 7th grade Eric started randomly calling me Dede which, though i didnt like it for a long time, i eventually began to use a lot on the internet.
2. when i asked Eric for advice on what to use for a username on youtube we began the DeDe can... series with DeDe can read. this has just kinda become a habit with DeDe can speak on skype (i believe.. my memory is a little off) and finally, what we all know and love, DeDe can blog!
this has been my ultimate challenge and i am sorry that i am not really able to keep up with this as much as i should but i would like to try harder. so..
with all of you who actually read my blog as my witnesses, I assign Eric the job of making sure that I get a post on this blog at least once a month for the rest of this year. If he does a good job I may extend this contract for the next year.
So, I wish you the best of luck Eric, should you accept this challenge. Leave your answer in the comments. And to everyone else reading, let me know what you think of this decisions, give me some advice on future posts, how to make this blog better, or anything else you wish to share.

Xmas/2010
i shouldve posted more over vacation but ive been busy doing barely anything so i can enjoy a break while it lasts.
anyway some things i got for xmas:
cell phone!
GH 5 and Van Halen
Sims 2
ipod docking station thing (idk what to call it really)
snuggie
clothes
candy
blanket
WoW time
thats about it that was really exciting.
anyway on to the next part:
i cant beleive its 2010 already!! (to eric mostly) i made soooooooooo many rent references last night!
things ive done over vacation:
xmas- at my grandparents house most of the day
next- went out with chris and his parents
next- went to my aunts hosue with my grandparents
next- actually stayed home and put some stuff in order
next- home. didnt do much
next- went out with my cousin and her boy friend to see avatar (awesome btw), hung out with them for a while, stayed at my cousin's house and only slept for about an hour.
next- somehow wasnt really tired. went to my aunt's house (different aunt) along with everyone else and played games and stuff. oh, and my mom got surgery on her foot that and and she was limping on stuff so i had to help her get around.
today- was supposed to go to my grandparents house for dinenr but my grandma is sick. went grocery shopping, gonna play games and stuff with my mom tonight.
tomorrow- might be going to hang out with eric for awhile. he's gonna make me watch glee. need to find out more later
next day- need to finish all of the homework (or most of) that was assigned over vacation. gonna try to do some of it before this
next- back to school
let's hope that this all works out well.

Too Much Awesome
i dont feel like posting this to 10MoW and i need more posts on here anyway.
there have been references to A Christmas Story by teachers in school. in science i was the only one that understood one reference and had seen the movie. although, we only had 6 out of 15 kids there that day. then another reference was made in history. and the quiz that day was fairly easy.
yesterday i participated in project for awesome for 3-4 hours about. its not much, but it was all i could do. and i had way too much sugar.
i got a stocking full of candy and other stuff from Mr. Cooper (my adviser). one thing was a little stuffed animal snowman! ♥
today there is supposed to be a huge snow storm and i am supposed to go to a get together at angela's house.
tomorrow, if the weather is not bad, i am supposed to go to my grandparents' house to help make cookies with other family members.
fairly busy weekend. luckily i have barely any homework for monday. school is almsot out! christmas is almost here! im getting excited! i still need to do some shopping. i mostly have stupid little things to give people this year.
